----------------------------------------------------------

Selten hatten wir so tolle Sonnenuntergaenge gesehen / first step in the imperium of the rising sun. The sun really looked different there. We saw some amazing sunsets

Patricia, la tia de Ricardo, y su prima Mumi, madre e hija que mas bien parecen hermanas / Ricardos Tante Patricia und seine Kusine Mumi, Mutter und Tochter auch wenn sie wie Schwestern aussehen / Ricardos aunt Patricia and his cousin Mumi, mother and daughter although they look like sisters

The summerfestival of Kashiwa took place just the day of our arrival, which was the best way to enter the japanese culture. Not only the small girls walked around in the typical dress called Orcata.

A part of the events were the presentations of these dancing groups. They had lot of fun and us as watching them as well

Another dancing group. Apart from them there were processions, tambor presentations we really liked and of course a lot of food stalls that we tried one after the other

The first night we ate deliciously in this sushi restaurant (called Kaiden). The cooks are making a real show, presenting the fish shouting to all the attendants before cutting them before our eyes into small pieces and preparing the sushi that ends on small plates on the belt. We were told that only the sushi prepared in a good mood is really good

Here you can see Patricia and Nagamatsu. In front of them are sushi of sea urchins, one of the delicatessen we ate. We tried sushi of many different fish, many we don't even know the name in Spanish

Behind it you can see the Tokio tower, one of the symbols of the city. It's at least as high as the Eiffel tower and looks quite similar, but not as beautiful...

Those who lost a child go to the temple to pray to these stone kids next to it

The temple has a precious altar and gold decorations. Moreover we were lucky to visit it just at the moment that the big bell was banged and we could observe a mess where the monks were sitting in two rows opposite each other singing in unisono and make the gong sound delicately. It was a unforgettable mystical atmosphere

In diesem typisch japanischen Restaurant unter den Eisenbahnboegen der Metrostation Shimbashi an niedrigen Tischen hatten wir ein fantastisches Abendessen mit vielen neuen leckeren Speisen / In this typical japanese restaurant under the metro station Shimbashi we had a delicious dinner tasting many new dishes

Who thinks that here is nothing more to eat is mistaken... in the end only a few bones were left

So lernen die kids sofort das traditionelle Trommeln / This is one of the very popular machine games and as you can see we totally agree. First you pick out a song and then you start the competition who follows best the indications when to hit and how the tambor. That way the kids learn right away the traditional tambor playing

After so many years of selling a monography on this ferry terminal in Yokohama, I was very excited to finally step on it personally. Here we were wandering on one side of the building to watch the skyline of the city of Yokohama near to Tokio

Vom Faehrenterminal aus hat man eine tolle Sicht auf die skyline von Yokohama, eine Stadt mit mehreren Millionen Einwohnern, einem grossen chinesischen Viertel und macht einen angenehmen Eindruck / Fromout the terminal you have a terrific view on the Yokohama skyline. The city has also several millions inhabitants, the biggest chinese quarter of Japan and gives a pleasant impression

The view from the 47th level of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Tower is incredible. Tokyo is without limits, with skyscrapers dispersed in the whole area as well as low houses

Wir schauten lange einfach nur zu / The famous multizebracrossing in the youngster and dynamic quarter of Shibuya. We just watched the action for a long while

Hier also unser Kunstwerk in den letzten Stunden in Japan / These fotomachines are very popular in Japan. You make a photo of the whole bunch of friends together. First you choose the background, then all the group into the cabin for the photosession, then you can decorate your pictures with all kinds of symbols, drawings and stuff. Although we first didn't understand where to put ourselves to match the background and when the shooting is, it was big fun and we would have never been able to do that without japanese company. Here comes our final art piece made in the last hours in Japan
